MiniMaestro is owned by MoM of 2, Sophie from Ontario who created a pocket diaper.
Who is MiniMaestro:
In October 2009, I decided to stay at home with my my kids hence started looking for ways to save money and make a difference in the family budget. One of my ideas was to switch from using disposable diapers to cloth diapers.
After lots of research, I was extremely surprised to find out that day after day, in Canada only, we were filling up landfills with a huge amount of disposable diapers; in fact, more than 4.5 millions per day! I also realized that none of the existing brands were meeting all of my criterias. For me, the perfect diaper needed to be trim, leak resistant, easy to use and to clean, made in Canada and of course affordable.
That is when, more convinced than ever that using cloth diapers was THE way to go, I got to the task. I took out my drawing board and sewing machine and began to work on various prototypes with my 14 months old daughter as the “guinea pig”!
After several tests, tries, adjustments and improvements, the MiniMaestro pocket diaper was born.
My objective is to provide the public with the best possible products, hence convince families that are still using disposable diapers (about 80% of the users), that it can be easy to make a difference to the environment while saving money and ensuring the best comfort for our babies.
