7/21/2010: So, if I’m looking for a chocolaty treat, I don’t want some low fat, low calorie treat that is going to make me feel good about eating a snack but tastes like crap.

No way!

If I’m in the mood for chocolate, I want to go all out and do it right.

So, I was a little weary when I was chosen to do the Breyers Smooth & Dreamy Blog Tour for Mom Central! But when we got to the grocery store, I was immediately sold on the Chocolate Caramel Brownie flavor. These are three words that are probably going to send me to an early grave, but they are so delicious all together!

I know what you are thinking. How could something that only has a 160 calories, 4 grams of fat, and is made of chocolate taste good? Well, it’s true. My daughter will eat anything that is sweet so I knew that she wasn’t the best judge of how this treat actually tasted as apposed to someone with a more defined palette.

This evening, I *forced* myself (HA!) to have a snack after dinner. And you know what, they really are good. Not only did I like it, I also savored it. The ice cream sandwiches actually tasted decadent and bad for you which is good reverse psychology for my brain.

Normally, I would probably think about eating a couple more to make sure that I got my chocolate fix, but get this, one of these ice cream sandwiches will do the trick and I didn’t inhale too many more calories than I needed to get it done.

My interest is now piqued and I want to try the other flavors to see if they are as good as the Chocolate Caramel Brownie, but I’m going to use my other 5 coupons for good and share the wealth.
