Review: Scentsy Wickless Candles (3 comments)

June 25th, 2010: I admit it. I was one of those kids that loved to stick my hand in wax and play with the hot wax to make things, especially molds of my hands. I remember one year I went to the Renaissance Fair and they actually have a booth set up for where you can dip your hand in hot wax to make a full on mold of your hand.

As I got older, I became the woman that loves to get manicures and pedicures where I can also get a paraffin dip in addition to the hand massage and polish application.

Yes, I have a point and I’m getting to it! The other day, Erica, Independent ScentsyConsultant contacted me to see if I would do a review for her products and of course I was all over this. She had me at Melted Wax!

Yesterday we received our Torino Warmer (see picture to the right) and I plugged it so that I could get my melt on! Within in seconds of breaking off a piece of the Guava Nectar bar (the other two scents I got were the Black Raspberry Vanilla and Berry Blush) and placing it in the tray of the warmer, my whole kitchen filled with the sweet aroma. I only broke off two pieces of the bar which last a couple hours on the warmer (each bar comes with 5 different pieces).

The cool thing about the Scentsy bar and warmers is that when you are done with a scent and it has fully melted, you just pour the wax back into the container and it hardens up ready for you to use again. There is less waste and it makes for a simple and easy clean up!

This is great because then you don’t have a ton of different candles sitting out, you can change up the scent and it’s really not messy at all. The other feature that I love is that I don’t have to worry about anything catching on fire like you would with a burning candle. Yes, the wax is still hot, so it’s not something that I would want my children hanging around but still much safer than a candle.

Thanks to Erica, I am totally keeping this product on my radar come the holiday season! I know a good number of my family members that burn candles especially in the winter time and this would be something different that they could try. Thanks again to Erica for letting me review this great product for her.

You should definitely go check this out for yourself. They have tons of different scents and warmers for any type!!

Glad you like the products. I’ve read a ton of posts where consultants gave products in exchange for reviews and I’ve never seen anyone write anything negative at all. They are really wonderful.

Before I found out about all of the soot that is released by candles, I really loved to burn them all of the time. I guess I lost interest after hearing about the effects that soot that you can not see is in the air when burning a candle. I now use wickless candles for the scents and have found they last longer

Thanks for sharing Sherry. I really like them too plus I feel safer using them around my children. Also, yeah all that soot in the air can’t be great for our lungs either.
