May 7, 2010: Childhood hunger has become an increasing problem in our country, especially since we have gone into this recent economic recession. I have always wanted to help out people who are less fortunate than me and I am very grateful that my husband and I can support and feed our family everyday. There are many families with children who don’t know where their next meal is going to come from and so when I was asked to participate in this blog tour, I felt that it was important to help the Share Our Strength program. This is where Pringles will donate $1 from every can of Pringles Multigrain to help stop childhood hunger. To support the “U Taste. We Donate” campaign, celebrity chef, Tyler Florence created three unique and incredible recipes to go along with each flavor of Pringles Multigrain – a perfect snacking inspiration.
Pringles was so generous to have sent us 3 of their new Multigrain Flavors to try: Truly Original, Cheesy Cheddar, and Creamy Ranch. Well, as soon as I opened the package, my family ripped into the Pringles like wildfire. They did send us a packet full of recipes that we could try with the Multigrain Pringles, but I didn’t even have a chance to look at the recipes before the chips were gone. But more or less I’m just happy to help spread the word about this program so that we can help end childhood hunger in our country.
For the 17 million children facing hunger in America, every dollar counts.
Share Our Strength is a national organization that seeks to make sure no child in America grows up hungry. Through fund-raising events, education programming, and corporate and state partnerships, Share Our Strength works hard to do more than just raise awareness of childhood hunger-they work hard to end it. Visit www.strength.org to learn more and find out how you can get involved.
