What better way to help the environment then by reusing old clothing for other uses! MoM of 3, Nomie from Wisconsin started Nomie.Eco.Ware in 2009 as an eco-friendly shop so all my items are made from gently used clothing; which are washed in a professional manner.
It all started because Nomie had all these clothes that her husband and she never wore. She threw out a couple items and then realized that she can use them as fabric. Nomie has always loved upcycling and reconstructing non-clothes items she knew she could do it with clothes as well.
It started off as making her son’s clothes that were non-girly and making them girly for her youngest daughter. Nomie’s thoughts and ideas just kind of ran and she came up with Nomie.Eco.Ware. The items are on the not-so-expensive side because she use clothes that are in good condition, but don’t cost as much as new fabric.
Material is hand picked from local second-hand stores, and she always make sure the clothes are in good condition, free of rips, pills, etc. She’s all about Eco-friendly and wants to reuse, reduce, and recycle what we have and make them into clothes and accessories for women and the special child(ren) in their lives!
