Today I’m forgoing the Weighing In on Wednesday post to prepare for our First Blogoversary. Last year around this time, Living My MoMent was just a glimmer in my eye. All I wanted to do was to support MoMs who own small businesses. The economy was in the crap shooter and I knew that people were getting laid off left and right. There are a courageous bunch of ladies out there who are Work at Home MoMs, maintaining their families and their jobs and I wanted to promote their business.
A year later, the main focus of Living My MoMent is still the same, but we have added many new things to our plate. Starting out with just one business to post, we have listed over 500 MoMbusinesses and Blogs and growing. I’m so thankful for all the support that I have gotten from my family, my friends (new and old) and all of you, my readers for continuing to read my blog. It is also a great place for you to shop MoMowned businesses, read reviews about their products, and win prizes given away by many of our companies.
Exciting Things that Happened in the Past Year:
- Started Writing a book, which would have never happened if I hadn’t created Living My MoMent
- Revamped the website after learning a lot about the blogging business!
- Co-hosted 2 Twitter Parties (One with Holly Hanna and the other with Heather Lopez)
- Had Living My MoMent join many social networking groups and in turn met a lot of great MoMs
