March 7th, 2010: Who doesn’t love to take pictures of their kids? I have always loved taking pictures and before digital cameras, I had tons of photo albums displaying all the places I’d been and people that I loved. It wasn’t till I got a digital camera that I got lazy about printing off pictures and putting them in books for the world to see. Somewhere down the line, someone got a brilliant idea to make photo books where you can choose the digital pictures you want to display and write captions underneath in a very scrapbook like method.
Ever since my daughter was born, I haven’t made the time to make her own photo album. That’s why I jumped on the chance to review the American Greetings Photo Works Studio Books, giving her a keepsake of memories that she can cherish for a long time.
The ease of this program was fantastic because I just uploaded the photos that I wanted onto their website and they give you the option for them to place the photos where they see fit. Granted, it is not a real person and they don’t know what order they should go in but the computer program on the American Greetings site did a great job. I only had to move around a few things, but it was so much simpler than having to place them all myself manually. I was then able to review the pictures in the photo book and make any changes that I saw fit. I received my photobook in 5 days after I had made it and was delighted when it came in the mail in excellent condition and looking like it did when I previewed it on the site.
Having two kids makes it a little harder to sit down and do a scrapbooking or photobook project without getting interrupted a million times, but with the Photo Works Studio Book, I was able to save my work and come back to it if one my kids needed my attention. Since the website itself was so easy to navigate, I actually was able to finish this project much sooner than I had expected.
Now that I know how simple it is to use this program, I would definitely recommend the Photo Works Studio Books to other people I know and will use it again! By the way, Luci just loves looking at pictures of herself, so this was the best present that I could ever give her!
Disclosure: “I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of American Greetings PhotoWorks and received a free photo book to facilitate my review.”
