Weighing In On Wednesday: Smaller Portion Sizes (2 comments)

This week has been great at my house. Everyone is sleeping on semi normal schedule which makes for a less tired and more happy MoMmy. Gaining more energy this week has also given me the opportunity to get a better hold of my eating.

Goal #1: Lose the Baby Weight and Get Healthy -

After cutting down my portion sizes, I’m happy to report that it is working because in a week, I’ve lost between 1 and 2 pounds. It fluctuates day to day but I am seeing the numbers on the scale going down! This week’s goal include waiting five minutes before getting a snack to make sure that I am actually hungry and not just wanting to snack. I will also get a glass of water during these five minutes to curb any hunger that might be creeping up on me. If after five minutes is up and I still want something, I’m gonna try and make it small and/or a piece of fruit or a couple carrots.

Once I get my eating habits under control, I am definitely going to start exercising, at least walking around the neighborhood with the kids in tow. I have been seeing tons of ads for those Reebok training shoes that are supposed to help tone your body. Has anyone tried them and do they work? Also, when Luci was little I tried really hard to do the WiiFit but I don’t feel like it challenged me enough. Since coming out with the WiiFit there have been a lot of new exercise programs for the Wii…Do they work? Like EA Sports or the Biggest Loser workouts? Inquiring Minds want to know!

Goal #2: Finishing the Book -

I actually got a bunch of great ideas this week for the book and got some things written for another chapter. I also got a great offer from Kate at KolbeDesign to help me out with my book cover and any drawings that I might need in the book. I’m really looking forward to getting this book published for all those new second time MoMs out there.

Goal #3: Build the Website –

This week, I have seen growth with the website. There will be a few new reviews up this week and five great giveaways that have boosted my viewers for the week. I have also collaborated with Holly from The Work at Home Woman to help promote her Business Book Club. We have also been in kahoots about starting a twitter party. Stay tuned to see how you can participate in our upcoming ventures together!
