Here is Lori’s Story: After many years of designing beautiful interiors for my clients in Florida, and this lovely recession putting a huge damper on my plans to have a beautiful storefront in St. Augustine, Florida, I set out to create my virtual storefront in 2007. After a year of programming and shopping for unique products, eflairhome.com resulted! I am one of those people who never stop designing and will wake up at 3 am to sort through a new idea I have for a gift or product. The website began as an idea of a “Rooms to Go” view of design where people can view my three collections, Tuscan, Beach, or French Country and actually purchase everything in the room! It requires you to call and provide your room layout and dimensions for draperies, but literally we can send a team to create the exact look in your home anywhere across the country. Then, the housing market went bust! Florida had been in a decline since 2007 with my local design business dramatically dropping off. I had a small store in a local Holiday Showhouse for two short months and had such success and fun with the gifts that I brought in that I decided to add gift giving to my website concept. In the homes I designed for clients, they wanted me to provide every detail for each room right down to the towels, soaps, candles and even the wastepaper cans! I was so frustrated with our local shopping that I have traveled extensively to bring you my very favorite selections that you see on the site as well as what my clients have in their homes. Eflairhome is committed to helping homeless women and children in Jacksonville, Florida. I personally sponser a “Back to School” backpack with school supplies and new outfit for the each child living at Trinity Rescue Mission every August to start school with confidence. In addition, my sons and I volunteer at Trinity and we have had a very successful women’s makeover day where we pampered 30 homeless women for the day with massage, hair styling, makeup by Mary Kay and provided new wardrobes as well. I also help new young mothers learn how to cope and provide them support to get their life back on track.
