NEW Sesame Street eBooks (0 comments)

What kid’s face doesn’t light up when they see Elmo? I can’t think of one. It seems like every child between the ages of 2 and 6 knows this familiar face. Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization that produces Sesame Street, is launching  its first eBook collection for its millions of young readers as Sesame Street celebrates its 40th birthday.

Impelsys, a global leader in electronic content delivery solutions, will be the exclusive licensee/seller of Sesame Street eBook content on www.sesamestreet.org.   A selection of Sesame Street eBooks are now available to read online for free, with additional titles to be added in January, giving users a preview of Sesame Street’s eBook experience.

There are currently five eBooks that are available for free and a new book will be added and rotated every week. Some of these books have audio read-along with text highlighting and other additional interactive features are planned as well.

In early 2010, Sesame Workshop and Impelsys will begin offering reader’s individual titles they can purchase or an annual subscription where they gain access to over 100 books and start their own virtual bookshelf. New titles will be added monthly.

So, if your children are fans of Sesame Street they will go crazy over this new interactive way to see more of the characters they love presented by Impelsys and Sesame Street ebooks.  I can’t wait to share this with my kids so they will become even more interested in reading!
