Wow Abbey, I'm sorry to hear that about your son. I hope he recovers quickly, as I'm sure you are aware that RSV is deadly for a newborn. Again, we have many things in common. My daughter and son were hospitalized for 2 weeks in August with RSV, and my daughter had pneumonia too! That is why I pulled them out of daycare (my son was only four months old and had only been in daycare a week) and I actually started Happy and Healthy Mom.Com in my son's hospital room. It was a good thing too, because when they got out of the hospital, I lost my main job.

Anyway, sorry to make things about me, I was just trying to relate. Hang in there, as I know how hard it is to watch them putting tubes and needles into your little boy while he struggles to take full breaths. It can be quite unnerving, but he is in a safe place. Childrens' hospitals are designed to deal with the individual needs of your baby and they will make sure he recovers completely before he gets out. I hope he's being a trooper. I will be here for you during the stay as I know how cutoff to the world you feel while sleeping on the chairbeds, eating hospital food, and taking showers in the stalls with metal bars. My prayers are with you.
