After about a month of draining, drilling, excavating, fill dirt, bobcats and topsoil! I’m happy to say that the pool demo is finished and we finally have a backyard! It is still very surreal to me to look out the window and not see the pool but I still can imagine it. I was also thrilled to find out that it wasn’t just us having problems with the chemicals and the pump, but apparently the original homeowners that installed the pool had the same problems as well. Some day later down the road, it might be nice to have a pool again (definitely not at this house) but if we ever have a house that has a huge backyard with no trees hanging over the pool. I know that I’m gonna hate to tell the kids when they are older that we used to have a pool but Mommy and Daddy took it out! They will probably hates us for a little while for taking away a fun summer activity from them, but it was for their safety and John’s sanity!
