till I get my regular feet back!
Let the swelling of the limbs commence. When I was pregnant with Luci, I was only in my first trimester during the summer so I didn’t start to experience the swelling of my particularily my feet until the last month or so which was great. Now that I’m 6 months and we still have all of August to get through I cannot imagine what my feet are going to look like by December. The visions of pictures I have seen of my mom’s feet when she was pregnant with me will haunt me until I have this baby. Seriously, it looked like she had elephantitus of the feet when carrying me. My feet never got that big with Luci but it was probably cause I was working a lot more then on my feet so I really didn’t notice the swelling because by the time I got home it was time for bed, so I could raise them up.
This time, it’s summer and it’s hot. And the combination of eating saltier foods like brats and sauerkraut that I love to eat during the summer and the heat is deadly for the size of my feet. At the end of some days, I get the clown feet syndrome and they look like they don’t even belong on my legs. Luckily, flips flops and sandals are the only footwear that I put on my feet until about October. But then I rely on tennis shoes and anything that isn’t tight. I can’t even remember the last time that I wore heels.
The other day I was looking at my feet (while I was resting them up on the couch) and wondered what would happen if I put a pin in my foot. Cause seriously, I thought they might deflate back to their regular size and a small pool of water would come out because of the amount water I was retaining. I can’t wait till the day comes that I’m holding my new baby and look down to see that my feet are the normal size 8s that they once were before the puffiness took over my body.
The scary things is the hands and the face are next….dum, dum, dum.

I can totally sympathize with you on this. Two of my pregnancies, I was a blimp through the entire summer (not saying you’re a blimp or anything – lol). I was always hot, swollen, and miserable. I hope time will pass quickly until your new little miracle is in your arms and it will all be worth it.
Blessings,
Debra
